The North Haven, CT chapter of ACEing Autism, a not for profit that specializes in providing fundamental tennis lessons to children on the Autism spectrum, is offering a six week tennis clinic this fall to its local youngsters, starting September 19.

The ACEing Autism clinic invites anyone between the ages of 5 and 20. When the clinic starts, participants are broken into two age groups of 5 – 10 and 11-20. The clinics are not only teaching important tennis skills but also bringing in the social aspect that children on the spectrum need. Essentially, this clinic helps children stay active and bond with other individuals.

The nature of the sport makes everyone maintain distance when they play so in that regard, tennis naturally becomes a low risk sport in the COVID world. Having said that, COVID Protocols will certainly be followed during the clinic. Everyone will be required to wear masks and maintain social distance.

The clinic starts on September 19 and goes through October 24 for six Saturdays. The entire clinic will cost $60 or $10 per session.
