Adding Audio Descriptions To Your Videos Using iMovie on iPad And iPhone

text that reads

Many movies these days come with audio descriptions for people with visual impairments. Audio descriptions describe every scene to the viewer, thus enabling them to understand the movie, as well as the plot better.

Many of us also make our own videos – whether at home, work or classroom. For our audience with visual impairment, how do we add audio descriptions to our videos? Actually, it  is an extremely simple process, especially if you have an iPad. You can use the iMovie app on the iPad to combine multiple videos, add audio descriptions to them, and save that project as one movie. The video below shows how to do it.

Once you have this video, you can upload your video to Facebook or YouTube, and add captions to it for your audience with hearing impairment.

You can follow this exact procedure on your iPhone too!
